New association member University of Split
We are pleased to welcome the University of Split, Faculty of Economics, Business, and Tourism (FEBT) as the newest member of the bloxberg Association: Welcome University of Split!
The Faculty of Economics, Business, and Tourism (FEBT) is a prominent higher education institution in Croatia with a rich history spanning back to its establishment in 1975. Today, FEBT is part of the University of Split, the second-largest higher education institution in the country, and has over 2,400 students and 127 employees. FEBT offers a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate study programs, including postgraduate specialist and doctoral study programs. The faculty has received prestigious EFMD accreditation for its Business Studies programs and has been recognized as a leader in supporting the development of startups through its Student Business Incubator. Additionally, FEBT is actively engaged in international exchange programs, allowing students to complete part of their studies or professional practice abroad at over 60 renowned institutions from more than 20 countries. The faculty is also known for organizing a biannual international scientific conference since 1995, which promotes the exchange of knowledge and innovation among outstanding scientists and experts from around the world.
Lana Ugrcic, Head of Student Business Incubator and Center for Lifelong Learning Faculty, expressed her excitement about joining the bloxberg, saying, “we believe that joining bloxberg enables us to stay at the forefront of innovation and technology and to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of blockchain. We look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with other member institutions, access resources and expertise related to science and blockchain, and participate in the exchange of experiences with other members of the community. FEBT is already involved in the local blockchain community and works on ways to connect blockchain and academia. As such, we are dedicated to exploring the ways in which blockchain can be used to advance research and education in the fields of science, business, and economics. Joining bloxberg provides us with an excellent opportunity to further this goal.”
The bloxberg Association is looking forward to further collaboration with the Faculty of Economics, Business, and Tourism, which is already creating an innovative event with the BockSplit Conference that will be part of the Balkan Blockchain Week(s).
